                       The Full-stack Developer is responsible for software development and design activities required to create and maintain several video-related services. This includes video players, metadata and video-support applications for the Content Services team.

Job Description :

  • Work closely with developers, video engineering, third-party providers and other consumers to fulfill data requirements and inform on optimal use of data and tools.
  • Evaluate new technologies and workflow changes, finding opportunity to improve performance, developer ease-of-use or efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and communicate them promptly to management and colleagues.
  • Write technical documentation for architecture and applications.
  • Perform required updates in the video asset management platform to program and video metadata, schema, and other objects.
  • Write and maintain Wordpress plug-ins for the WP content repository (CMS).
  • Implement and integrate third-party libraries and APIs.

Skills and Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience within information security and information technology
  • 3+ years of experience building websites and applications using diverse technologies including PHP and Javascript.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and No-SQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with Wordpress or other CMS
  • Unit or Functional testing experience
  • Built apps on Cloud hosting services like Amazon Web Services
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time wisely in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Comfortable approaching new technologies and workflows.
  • Strong working knowledge of metadata, XML transformation, media, asset movement, storage, sequencing and naming conventions.
  • Flexible and adaptable with an appetite for implementing positive change, keen problem-solving abilities. Self-starter who proactively identifies and structures opportunities and projects
