Skills/ Job expertise needed:

  • Enterprise level support and administration focused specifically on:
  • Power BI, Power BI Embedded, SQL Server Reporting Services, Tabular Data Modeling, SQL performance and tuning optimization, Clustering, Always On Availability groups, High Availability.
  • Extensive experience with Power BI development including Power BI embedded skills and Tabular Data Modeling
  • Power BI solution design, PBI embedded development skills and Performance optimization skills are required.
  • Proficiency in DAX for developing complex calculations and measures.
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and experience with integration of data warehouse.
  • Previous Consulting and/or customer facing roleSolving performance problems, query tuning, and optimization
  • SQL Server on IaaS experience on Azure/ Other public cloud required.
  • All versions of SQL Server (2014 and onwards)
  • Architectural experience for Data Platform
  • Architecting for High Availability and Disaster recovery solutions using FCI, Always on Availability groups
  • Delivering and/or authoring technical training
  • Advanced Microsoft certifications preferred.
  • Azure data factory, Azure SQLDB, Azure SQLDB Managed Instance, Azure Synapse knowledge is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory

  • Power BI Solution design and Power BI Embedded development.
  • Tabular Data modeling and database design.
  • Optimize Tabular Data Models
  • Troubleshoot slow running Power BI and paginated reports.
  • DAX, Power Query M Language, development and optimization
  • Paginated Report Development (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop skills
  • Data connectivity best practices to SQL, Analysis Service, Oracle, MySQL, Azure, AWS and other services.
  • Familiar with Power BI REST API to programmatically interact with Power BI Service.
  • Power BI Row Level security along with other Security features.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks.
  • Build data pipelines using Power Query to transform data.
