We are looking for a Database Engineer / Oracle DBA, hybrid position located in downtown Minneapolis. This role requires strong, hands-on experience with Oracle as the primary database platform, along with working knowledge of SQL Server and some exposure to MySQL and PostgreSQL.
You will be responsible for managing and supporting databases in an AWS RDS cloud environment, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. Experience with Bash, Python, and Terraform is preferred to help drive automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
Administer and optimize databases within AWS RDS.
Perform database maintenance, tuning, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python.
Use Terraform to support cloud infrastructure provisioning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
Qualifications:
Strong Oracle DBA experience (primary requirement).
Experience with SQL Server; exposure to MySQL & PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with AWS RDS.
Scripting skills in Bash and Python; Terraform preferred.
Ability to work in a hybrid role in downtown Minneapolis.
